Uniform Regulations

Girls

  • Plaid Jumper (The Uniform Place)
  • Tan khaki or navy blue knee length uniform jumpers

Skirts:

  • Plaid Skirts (The Uniform Place)
  • Tan khaki or navy blue uniform skirts
  • Skirts are to be knee length
  • Split skirts (skorts) are not acceptable

Blouse/Shirts:

  • Plain light blue, navy or white button down dress blouse
  • Blouses must have collars
  • Plain light blue, navy or white loose fitting turtle neck shirts
  • Light blue, navy or white polo shirts
  • Polo Shirt must have collar and the 3-button placket at the neck
  • Official school logo red or green polo shirts are also acceptable

Pants/Slacks/Capri Pants:

  • Navy blue or tan khaki
  • Twill, Corduroy or Knit
  • Straight leg pants or Capri pants

Walking Shorts:

  • Navy blue or tan khaki
  • Twill or Corduroy
  • Uniform walking shorts are to be knee length

Sweaters:

  • Solid white, navy blue or dark green
  • Cardigans, loose fitting pullovers or vests

Sweatshirts:

  • The official Prince of Peace School logo sweatshirts

Socks, Knee Highs and Tights:

  • Navy blue, khaki, tan, red or white
  • Socks are to be worn with sandals
  • NO BACKLESS SHOES AT ANY TIME

Boys

Shirts:

  • Plain light blue, navy or white button down dress shirt
  • Plain light blue, navy or white turtle neck shirts
  • Light blue, navy or white polo shirts

Sweatshirts:
Official school logo polo shirts and sweatshirts are ordered through the school office.

NOT PERMITTED:

  • Long, loud, dangling jewelry (safety concern)
  • Hoop pierced earrings (safety concern)
  • Jeans
  • Sleeveless shirts/blouses
  • T-shirts
  • Sweatshirts other than with school logo
  • Attire with logos, lace, embroidery or other trim
  • Stretch/lycra pants, stirrups, leggings, banded at the bottom
  • Hair stenciling
  • Clogs/Backless shoes

SHOE LACES MUST BE TIED AT ALL TIMES - black soled shoes that leave floor marks are NOT PERMITTED.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES:
Students are expected to have special clothes for physical education classes; in warm weather, shorts and t-shirts (minus any inappropriate logos); in cold weather, sweatsuits. Shoes must be athletic or tennis shoes that offer support and will stay on during activities. Shoes should not leave black marks on the floor.

*** ALL UNIFORMS, BLOUSES, SHIRTS, SWEATERS, SWEATS, AND JACKETS MUST BE MARKED WITH THE CHILD'S NAME ***

GIRL SCOUT AND BOY SCOUT uniforms may be worn in place of school uniforms on the day of the scout meeting.

DRESS-UP DAYS are designated for birthday lunch days. T-shirts and casual play
clothes are not considered dress-up and should not be worn. Please, no jeans.

DRESS-DOWN DAYS are usually the early dismissal days and are designated as special color or theme days. Jeans are permitted.

Students may wear their uniforms for dress-up or dress-down days if they choose or do not have "THEME" clothes.

WINTER WEAR: Please dress your child/children properly - coat, snow-pants or snowmobile suit, hat (earmuffs do not retain body heat), mittens, scarf, boots (when there is snow). The school is surrounded by open areas which allow for colder temperatures and greater winds than within the city. All students are expected to participate in outdoor recesses except for rain or dangerous wind-chill temperatures.
